A Gathering of Fiddlers and Fishermen is our annual open mic tribute to the sea. It is a full night of local talent starting with a traditional Irish "Seisiún" where musicians gather for an 'unplugged' jam session of Irish tunes. A steady parade of musicians follows, including some fiddlers and some fishermen. And some are even both! The kitchen stays open throughout the evening serving up bowls of homemade chowder and chili, and freshly baked desserts.

Mike Fischman is known for his work with the John Michaels Group; the folk duo, Folk Support Group; and the occasional band, Spike Le Fish and the Bluegrass Derelicts. Then there is the seventeen piece swing band, the dixieland jazz band, the Irish group and a contra dance group. He is also known by many in this area as the Friday evening DJ on WRIU's Bluegrass Breakdown;  and for single-handedly keeping alive one bad pun after another.
