Geoff Muldaur earned a reputation during the heady days of the Newport Folk Festival as one of charmers in the Jim Kweskin Jug band. He left many fans behind as he turned toward other projects, both musical and non-musical, and away from performance. In the recent past he returned as a solo artist, having sacrificed none of the sweet cherry tone, quiet intensity, soulful phrasing and simple joy of his singing. His guitar accompaniment follows in suit. Muldaur is a thoughtful arranger and respectful student of the blues. Unlike most blues influenced performers, shouters who kick up a storm on stage, Muldaur chooses to entice with a whisper. He is returning to Common Fence Music for the fourth time.
