Jesse is a singer-songwriter who has taken elements of gospel, R&B, folk and pop, and coaxed them into a unique and appealing voice. Perceived by some to be a reticent star, he has simply chosen to let his career unfold at it's own pace. As his last CD tells, he is a self-proclaimed "Gentleman of Leisure."

This gifted writer, with songs covered by numerous artists including Elvis Costello and Emmy-Lou Harris, prefers a slow, methodical work pace - one simply not receptive to the industry call.

Jesse has lived in the Province of Quebec for almost 40 years but the roots of his sensibility and music are in the American south, especially in Memphis where he was raised.

Common Fence Music has been looking forward to this performance for quite a while and we can't think of a better way to kick off our 14th season.
