Kevin O’ Hara (author, storyteller, humorist)
and Aine Minogue (harpist & vocalist)
offer an alternative St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with a humorous multi-media
jaunt through Ireland.
Kevin O'Hara left America after a stint in Vietnam and undertook
a hero's journey to find himself. And, amid the rugged coastline
of Ireland, accompanied by his donkey, Missie, he did just that.
Twenty-five years later, the book that recalls his travels, "Last
of the Donkey Pilgrims," is
currently nosing for the silver screen.
This unlikely hero and Massachusetts native returns to tell his
stories. As Kevin recounts his journey along the gorgeous Ireland
coast, he will be joined by Tipperary-born harpist/singer Aine
Minogue. This 2005 “Celtic Album of the Year” Winner (NAR
Lifestyles) has numerous recordings and soundtracks to her credit.
Her latest album, Celtic Pilgrimage, (Sounds True, 2008) looks
at sacred sites and pilgrimages throughout Ireland and the Celtic
World.
This celebration for St. Patrick’s Day will provide a truly
unique evening of storytelling, music, stunning photographs & song.
A look at the Celtic lands through the eyes of an author and musician
who have “walked” it.
This is Not Your Father’s Saint Patrick’s Day….
