Noted singer-songwriter, guitarist, and novelist who matches an economy of lyric and melody with a writer’s gift for storytelling. Bill balances the urgency of his songs with a wry, acerbic wit. His own voice emerged through an exploration of the country blues, Kansas City jazz, raw American country and the New York folk-movement of the 1960’s. Among his ten albums are two Grammy nominees. In retreat for a brief period to face some personal demons, Bill has recently returned to touring with a renewed spirit. This will be his third appearance at Common Fence Music.
